Nick D's Super Mario Bros. 3 Review
A lot has been said that is worth repeating. No true NES collection is complete without this gem. While I personally preferred Super Mario Bros. 2 over this one, there is no denying how awesome of a game this is. It does indeed improve on everything from the first two Mario games on the NES. This game introduced us to the Koopa Kids, had that iconic intro into the airship levels, the warp whistles that allowed people who were too scared or lazy to play the full game to sneak all the way to the end, and this was of course, the introduction of the Tanooki Suit, Frog Suit, Hammer Bros. Suit and the magic leaf that could make you fly. The soundtrack was incredible, the controls smooth, and the overall gameplay a joy. There is a reason Nintendo hyped this game to the moon, and it lived up to it.
