I like the max controller for hammer throw for Track and field 2. it makes it alot easier to use the dpad to get the power up to throw the hammer. It's a cool looking controller with the turbo buttons under the A and B buttons
enjoy. |

| Enhance your NES experience! |

The NES Max is not a replacement for your standard rectangle controller, but a device to compliment to your NES system. Its turbo options for the B & A buttons are great for shooters like 1942 or Captain Skyhawk and will help to save your thumbs. It is small (roughly the same size as a standard controller) and its ergonomic design fits nicely in the hands.
Here is why you’ll still need to hang onto the old rectangle: The circle pad is not analog. There is a digital pad beneath it that you need to press down on. It is not as accurate as the traditional “+” and therefore not recommended for plaformers like Castlevania or Mega Man.
So know what you’ll be getting and what games you’ll be using it for and you will not be disappointed. (And for the price the Lukie is asking, it is a great opportunity to add a little piece of video game history to your collection!)

| good controller poor company |

I love this controller I already had one when I bought another off of Lukie games. But they sent me one that didn't work very well. Luckily I have been tinkering with old videogame hardware for awhile now so I was able to take it apart and get it working. The NES max controller is great just be careful of where you get yours. |

| The debate rages on... |

I have heard an awful lot of folks online sing the praises of this controller, but I still don't see it. I receieved one of these when I bought my NES at a garage sale and had to run out and get the oldschool square ones almost immediately. The pros: A set of turbo buttons, and the general ergonomics of the controller are more comfortable than the brick ones. However, the controller felt really "cheap" and "third party" to me and that darned thumbstick contraption never seemed to work near as well as the dpad for me. It just feels awkward. I could understand why some would like this controller, but it is a pain to play Castlevania with one of these. |

I never even knew about this controller as a kid when I had my old NES. Well I gave it a try all these years later and am glad I did. It feels comfortable, the cycloid thing works great and the turbo buttons are a nice bonus! |
