Fun arcade basketball game
Arch Rivals is similar to NBA JAM you play two on two with no rules, you can smash the backboard with big dunks and punch your opponent over and over again. There's no NBA license or real players, you pick a team than choose a player to control from a group of fictional players each with their own strength. There are cut scenes after you score and after each quarter which slows the play down a little bit, but it's still the most fun you'll have playing a basketball game on the NES. The cartridge I received was in good condition but it was really dirty like it had been sitting around collecting dust for a long time, after a thorough cleaning the game works just fine

Nick D's Review Of Arch-Rivals
The thing you have to remember when playing this game or thinking about playing this game is it is NOT a traditional basketball game. Sure, the basic elements are there, but this game throws all logic out the window by allowing you to punch your opponents in order to take the ball. Later in the game, there are also drinks on the floor to slip up your players, as well as the small ref who can easily get in the way. I was always a big fan of this game, for how unconventional it is, except for the long scenes at halftime or after periods with that creepy looking sportscaster. I do feel it is still one of the more underrated games on the NES.
