Modern spin on a classic genre
As the previous reviewer mentioned - there are painfully few point and click games these days. Adventure games seem to have fallen out of fashion - but Broken Sword for the GBA showed that there's still plenty of room for P&C games in the modern gaming landscape. The gameplay is fluid & this game had much less "pixel hunting" than many other games. The highlights are the immersive story & the fantastic graphics. Also notable are the great music & sound effects - especially for a GBA game! A game for people who love a good plot and have a little Sherlock Holmes inside of them.

Wish There Were More
This is one of my favorite GBA games. As far as I know, it's one of very few point-and-click type games you can play on GBA, and the only one in a version made especially for it---versus games like Shadowgate Classic, which aren't set up to easily play on a GBA. Shadow of the Templars is beautifully done, and I plan to play it again when I've forgotten the path to winning. The hand-illustrated scenes manage to be both lifelike and painterly; the writing, characters, and character dialogue is witty and hilarious; and the puzzles are just challenging enough to be sometimes too tough. I take one star off because you can really only play a few times (widely spaced out) and because there is a gameplay glitch that can force you to start over when you're about 75% finished (you have to go to Syria BEFORE you go to Spain). I wish I didn't have to wait until I can afford an iSomething to play other Broken Sword games, and that there were more point-and-click type games for GBA.
