Just a Call of Duty Game, Nothing Special
I'm not really into Call of Duty, I find this series to be incredibly mediocre and overrated and I blame the series' influence on the industry for the lack of diversity and creativity in mainstream gaming. That being said I wanted to check out this game because it's the origin of the series and, well, it's Call of Duty on the GameCube. Yeah, it's hard to believe for modern games but Call of Duty used to come to Nintendo platforms, the series skipping Nintendo's consoles is actually recent history. I can't say much about this game, it's Call of Duty, you know what to expect. I do take solace in the fact that the first game didn't do regenerating health, like shooters before it you have to pick up health packs to regain health, that is a breath of fresh air, and that's saying something for a game from 2004. Other than that you have your series staples of crouching, looking down the sights, and pretending it's realistic when real war is nothing like this game.
