Our story takes place in a world called "Ivalice," in an age when magic was commonplace and airships plied the skies - the Archadian Empire, seeking to strengthen its base of power, had been invading and subjugating its neighboring lands one by one - a fate which befell the small Kingdom of Dalmasca. Archadia's invasion and the subsequent death of the Dalmascan king prompted the Princess Ashe, the sole surviving heir to the Dalmascan throne, to take up arms against the invaders. War is on the horizon. Vaan, Ashe, Vaan's friend Penelo, the sky pirate Balthier, his partner Fran and many more are on an adventure through Ivalice that traces the mysteries behind the Archadian Empire's invasion.

Excellent condition.
Game, case and manual were in pristine condition. I would have believed it had never been touched before if someone told me as much.

This was a miss
First off I ordered games and a Ps2 game system and I am completely satisfied with them; but this one was a miss. The case fell apart as soon as I opened it. I was really disappointed about that, the main reason I ordered the collector's edition was for the awesome unique case. The upside is that the game itself works and the bonus disc. It's too bad my case didn't come in a good condition though.

Final Fantasy is a great game.
Final Fantasy 12 takes place hundreds of years in the future after the events of the Lion War have ended in Final Fantasy Tactics Play Station. Final Fantasy 12 has Summon monsters called Espers. You can get the Espers by beating some of them during normal game play and the others you can get by solving puzzles in areas that you explore. To get Ultima you have to activate the teleport crystals in a certain order inside of the Giant Crystal tower. Ultima is one of the strongest Espers in Final Fantasy 12 and the fight against Ultima is a very hard one. Every time you face Ultima after you die and continue from your previous save point she will attack you different ways every time that you face her. I actually beat Ultima on my fourth try and after I beat her the power went out because of a thunder storm and that really sucked. I beat the Esper that looks like Diablos from Final Fantasy 8 on my first try. I beat Exodus on my first try the Lightning Esper that is just a name change of Ramuh the Lightning God Wizard. I beat Blight on my first try in the water ways and his attacks were very similar to the enemies that you face inside the sunken air ship of Final Fantasy 7. I beat Belius the Gigas and is it crazy how Belius the Gigas reappears in Final Fantasy 12 after you beat him in Final Fantasy Tactics Play Station. Zodiarc is a Summon that you can get in Final Fantasy Tactics in the Deep Dungeon after you beat the Boss inside the deepest area of the Deep Dungeon. You can get Zodiarc inside Deep Dungeon of Final Fantasy Tactics with the Move and find job skill. You can get Zodiarc in Final Fantasy 12 also by solving puzzles inside the flooded castle that change the water levels in order to fight against Zodiarc the Wheel the strongest Esper of Final Fantasy 12. Zodiarc uses time magic based attacks and it is possible to beat it on the first try only if you have the right magic skills learned and your characters are leveled up high enough. Final Fantasy 12 has a lot of the same items, weapons, Armor and accessories that you can use in Final Fantasy Tactics Play Station. When you explore an entire area on the map screen to 100 percent you get useful items.

HUGE RPG Fan!!!!
Yet I was never able to play this game all the way through. I was really excited to know that Lukie even had the Collector's Edition for sale!! When I got it in I got the complete package! Beautifully kept up metal case! The case has a two very minor wear down on the edges, most likely where the previous owner (more like owner's)had it standing upright. but I expected much much worse from an aluminum case made 8 years ago. The DVD that comes with the Collector's Edition worked perfect! The game disc however, had too deep of a scratch and would not play. Sent an email to Lukie September first, Labor Day. With no questions asked they told me they'd ship me out the game disc and it got shipped THAT DAY!!! Love Lukie Games!!!!

Quality package for an excellent game
Since there are hundreds of reviews for FF XII already, I'll focus on what you get with the collector's edition. Though, I will say that XII was already one of my favorite games of all time when I decided to get this collector's edition, and it is my favorite FF game. The quality steelbook with embossed printing contains the game disc (with a label different from the disc from a standard edition package) and a bonus DVD. The DVD contains an entertaining "History of Final Fantasy" documentary, FF XII developer interviews, an art gallery, and every trailer for XII. If you like FF XII, or you think you will like it, then I highly recommend you get the C.E. The price is well worth it as long as the box is in as good condition as mine.
