Not The Best Horror NES Game, But Challenging
This game is super challenging. Whats challenging is navigating the map to find cabins and ultimately Jason Vorhees himself! Or as I call him in the game Mr. Purple cause of his purple jumpsuit. The game is about taking control of the Counselors, finding lighters to light fire places to protect other counselors while fighting zombies and other animals as you venture through the map. The map is hard to navigate which way is left or right, where up paths and down paths take you to get to your goal. Id say you will be scratching your head from time to time. And as you find weapons, my advice is you NEED THE KNIFE! Cause the other weapon is very hard to hit opponents. One thing I really liked is Jasons Mothers makes an appearance as you make it to Jason's shrine just like in Friday The 13th part 2. Which Im guessing is the final boss. I rate this game a 2, not because its super bad. But its frustrating, too challenging to guide yourself through the map, and overall repeativeness music and backgrounds. Doesnt give you much of a different look or feel as you beat the game. Good Luck!

The game is creepy enough....but if you think you'll beat it easily you are sorely mistaken and will become demoralized

One of the worst games on the nes
I have played this, dint watch a review so my word is good. Do not buy this for any reason other than collecting. I bought two of these. One to collect and one to destroy for the crimes it has committed. I swear I would rather play any nes game other than this. Because most nes games at least classify as fun, while this has boring graphics, zombies that prove no challenge what so ever, and you are basically screwed with out the knife much like in ghosts and goblins. This is the worst ljn game, so that basically means its the worst game on the nes. I gave this game 3 chances but could not pick it up after that. And not to mention you get killed after like two hits from Jason. And that's not just from being a challenging game, its inevitable. You cant hit him without him hitting you. You can beat him without dying but you will have almost no health left. And I like challenging games to I love ghosts and goblins this game just sucks. Everything about it.

Nice enough game.
I bought this game for the sole purpose of collecting and to fit with my "A Nightmare on Elm Street" game. This game is pretty tough, but it's nice enough to be have a good time playing it. Just don't get lost in the wood and you'll eventualy manage to get through it.

bit too simplistic, but decent
this is an OK game. i can probably only say that because i have nostalgia connection to it. i played it when i was 10. you can't save, it's pretty hard to make progress on and i really don't appreciate how simplistic it is, but it does give creep me out some, and i love a game that gives a decent+ scare. i'm a fan of horror games, Silent Hill being my favorite by far

I think this is worth the money.
Anybody remember this movie series? This game is difficult enough. You have six camper friends to help and some are stronger, faster than others. You need patience with this game because your starting weapon is a stone and Jason always wants to kill the kids on the lake. I recommend this game for the hardness alone.
