A Great Game that Falls Just Short of Excellence.
The first NES GI Joe game was nothing short of excellent on all fronts: controls, difficulty, variety, music, graphics... This game is a very close contender, but falls just short of being as good. Maybe it's the level design? Or the limited character availability? Either way, it's still a very solid platformer/shooter that is better than most NES titles in the same genre. Lots of fun to be had here, especially if you're a fan of the show/comics/toys!
