an awesome follow up, with one major flaw.
this game is better in every way, the music, the pacing, the power ups, even the armor design! but one thing that i found while a great idea, in the long run, it back fires. during your run with the 8 mavericks you come across the X-hunters which holds three parts of Zero, now if you collect him you get a good back story about him, but should you choose not to (like i did) would be the biggest mistake. when you get to stigma you have to fight Zero, then after him you're fighting stigma. that. is. cruel. unless you get the dragon punch power up, its virtually impossible. its a great idea, but it back fires because its an endurance and by the time you finished off Zero you've basically used up all your sub tanks. one can argue that if you get the dragon punch this its easy. well, unless you're timing is perfect then go for it. i can't do it. and getting the Zero parts you have to back track to other stages and find where they're hidden in the stage, which you can easily over look the first or second time.
great game, but seems that a good idea to have Zero to be an enemy or friend is a cool concept, but it leaves a lot of room for error and getting the dragon punch isn't as easy as the hadoken in the first X game.
