Great.good quality

This is not a review of the game itself, you can find plenty of those around. But I would be remiss if I didn't write a review of Lukie Games. The games all arrived well-packaged and in great shape. Works perfectly with no flaws. Only gripe is the free shipping is uber slow. Like a solid week, but not a huge deal considering the great products and prices.

I couldn't get enough of this game growing up, despite the difficulty. Still can't get enough! I play with my son now and we both love it. Stealth the way to go.

If you're a fan of the Metal Gear games then this is the perfect game to add to your collection. The first of the series. Fun gameplay and great graphics.

First off the cartridge I received from Lukie games was in excellent condition. If your a Metal Gear Fan you must get this just to have the copy that started it all. If not, be warned this game can be frustrating due to limitations on movement and not being able to shoot diagonally while your enemies can.

Love metal gear, only trouble i had is when i'd insert the game into the nintendo nes console then press down to set it in place it wouldnt work, so instead i wouldnt press the game down and the game works perfect. I will order more games and i appreciate the fast shipping, thank you!

Game is awesome

Game works. Very nice and clean too. With buying if you are really into metal gear and would like the game that started it all.

A lot of fun but tough

This game doesn't cost a lot of money, and there are a lot of gaming and Metal Gear fans, so if you have the patience, take the time and enjoy this game; It's has a very serious, intriguing air of history and serious fighting dynamics to it and for a game that costs less than $20, that's really quite good.

Original greatness!

game came in fantastic condition and works well. it did have some writing on it but came right off with some cleaning product. no major scuff marks and sticker residue.

The one that started it all. Metal Gear is arguably one of the most successful video game franchises that has spanned almost three decades. This first entry is a far cry from the modern console games but for its time it was top notch. Still fun even now. Multiple missions, tons of weapon upgrades, good music, great storyline and smooth game play make for a great game. A must own classic to add to your collection.
