Nintendogs Lab and Friends DS Game

I was so happy to get my copy of the game I played for so many countless hours as a kid. Nostalgia struck me like lightning the other day and I suddenly missed my old Nintendogs. I bought this game on a whim and it’s been just as cute and charming as I remember it. My only qualm is that the game relies heavily on the use of the microphone, and the Nintendo DS microphone was never the highest quality, meaning you’re going to spend a lot of time repeating yourself over and over because the Nintendogs software doesn’t understand what you’re saying. It also negates the point of it being a portable game because a lot of features need you to play in complete quiet for the microphone to work. Not that you’d particularly want to be yelling “Sit! Roll over! Beg!” On a noisy crowded subway, but still.

I used to have this as a kid, but lost it when moving. Now I ordered it and feel like a kid again.

This one game is what made me go to the DS Lite for my young son. I used to play it all the time and I just know he's going to love it too!!

A great game, feels very real. The dogs are gorgeous, some of the best graphics I've seen on the Nintendo DS. The game takes advantage of the microphone and touch screen.. An experience that simply couldn't have been possible on the Game Boy Advance. One important thing you need to know!!! To teach the dog tricks you need to use the microphone to teach voice commands. I am not sure how well the commands will work for you if you have a heavy accent or some speech-impairing disability. Not to say it won't work for those people, just you might want to research that further before purchasing the game. Also, for those of you who are wondering the differences between the versions, they're all the same, except the only difference is the dogs you are given to choose from at the start. However, the other breeds can be unlocked. The included breeds are listed clearly on the front cover.

We did not really like this game! played well, just not very exciting :(
