Okage Shadow King

I heard a lot about this game, so I decided to check it out. I love the artwork, and so far the game is great.

This game has a lot of charm to it. The writing is super funny and the story is interesting. Ari is a 16 year old boy whose sister is cursed with only being able to speak pig-latin. His parents consult a demon, Evil King Stan who lifts the curse but possesses Ari's shadow in return (everyone besides Ari is really casual about this, it's hilarious). Stan soon learns other evil kings exist and drags Ari along to destroy them in his quest for world domination. I'm only a few hours into the game but I'm seriously already bored of the battle system. All you do is press the attack button over and over again, there's no variety. It really is a shame that the rest of the game doesn't live up to the writing. Bottom line: Fun to watch, boring to play. The disk was in great condition but I should have ordered the full game. The box art is pretty nice looking.

it's a qwerky, fun turn based rpg. has a very tim burton-like feel to it. give a try.
