One day, Pac-Man returns to his house on his 20th birthday, only to find it deserted. Toc-Man and the ghosts have kidnapped Pac-Man's family & friends! Pac-Man must venture to Toc-Man's lair on Ghost Island to rescue his friends. Pac-Man World offers you three gameplay modes: Quest, Maze, and Classic. During the Quest mode, you'll enter Ghost Island and help Pac-Man save his friends through six unique worlds. In the Maze mode, there are mazes galore to fulfill your cravings to chase Pinky, Inky, Blinky, and Clyde in a variety of 3D maze environments. The Classic mode is for the nostalgic-at-heart to play the original arcade game that made Pac-Man a legend.

Where it All Started

Having previously never played the original Pac-Man World growing up despite owning World 2 first and completing then owning the old PS2 bundle where I got World 2, 3, and the racing game, it was a treat to finally own this one. It's a great Pacman game like the rest in the series and even looks beautiful on the recent remastered version out nowadays. However, if you want to play it on original hardware this is the way to go.

Pac-Man in 3D on PS1

PS1 was a great console and a place for #D platformers. Good ones and bad ones. Fortunately this one was one of the nicer ones. Of course hard to compare it to Spyro, Crash nor Gex but still it is (up to this time) a great experience. If you liked the 3D versions on newer consoles (PS2, GC...) you should check this one. Still plays great (although it was a game made in a standard PS1 resolution.. so the graphics are not that amazing, even though it is a NAMCO game). Please be also aware that thegame was also part of the Greatest Hits on PS1 - so it may ship to you in this green edition (like mine was).
