First, Second, Third
For what it's worth, this is a good controller. The design appears to be a hybrid of the Nintendo GameCube controller and a PlayStation (1,2,3 and 4) controller, where the layout of the buttons is of the Nintendo GameCube, but with the extra two buttons and the handles more spread out like a PlayStation controller. As for the controller itself, it handles rather well. Living up to its reputation of being one of the greatest gaming controllers of all time, this controller feels nice and handles well. The button responses are fast, and the battery life (no rough average appears to have been given) lasts for a lot longer than you would think. I mean so long that it can handle a few sessions that last several hours before it would need to charge again. It charges with the USB cable that comes with the product. It's not disappointing. Unfortunately, what isn't so great is that this controller is not immune from the infamous "controller havingamindofitsown-itis", where the controller has a mind of its own. What makes things more egregious, is that since you can't simply unplug (or turn off) the controller with how the controller is registered to the Wii U (as a Pro Controller), you have to turn off the console itself before you can use it normally. Fortunately, it seems to usually have this issue whenever you turn it on, and not randomly in the middle of a session. The fact that it can happen in the first place is indeed annoying, but aside from that the controller is good overall. My only wish was that this would have been available in other color (the other two colors being white and that indigo purple), but black isn't bad either. Another downside is that to give this controller the best use of your money, you're gonna have to play it with every title the Wii U has that's compatible with the Pro Controller, as this is how the controller is recognized by the Wii U in the first place. So take for what you will. You don't want to fall in third place at this party! :)!
