Fighting game with drawbacks but a fun experience
If you are a fighting game junkie like me, this game will take some time getting used to the fundamentals and learning the characters(like any fighting game). Building on its predecessors Mutant Academy 1 and 2, this game adds more characters and gives you different stages. It is a 3d fighting game so the sidestepping was a nice mechanic that works well with the game to my surprise. One thing I found a bit of inconsistent are the wall physics, sometimes there is wall splats on regular attacks and its a bit finicky, maybe its just me. I haven't explored a lot of the game because it's time consuming but this game is a heck of a lot fun. If you are an X-Men fan, you'll probably love the cast but I find a few of the characters questionable, and maybe replaceable with more known members of the franchise. Anyway, if you like fighting games and 3d ones, give a shot.
