NES Nintendo DogBone Controller

I was so pumped to see Lukie Games had one of these in stock! It works great and definitely prefer it over the traditional controller from the old toaster NES controllers just for comfort alone. Highly recommend picking one up if you still game a lot on your NES.

I have wanted one of these controllers for a very long time and when I found this website was selling them I got pretty excited. Unfortunately it was out of stock so I added my name to the waiting list. A few weeks later I got the alert that it was available so I tried to order it but found out there was a postal strike in my country so I was unable to purchase it. Bummer. I remained on the waiting list and eventually got it not too long ago. It is a bit different to get used to and I find my fingers going to the 'R L X Y' buttons that the similarly shaped SNES controller has. After awhile I got the hang of it and enjoy it immensely. I use it exclusively now as my NES controller and am happy I finally got it. Go Lukie games for having it twice in a month!

Awesome controller. It has that quality feel you'd expect from an actual Nintendo product. The buttons aren't mushy or too stiff, they're just right and really responsive. The control with these is much more precise than with the non-Nintendo controllers I've tried. Customer service and shipping were prompt and on time. I will definitely buy from lukie games again.

The NES dogbone controller is amazing! I would suggest this to anyone who gets hand or thumb cramps from the original rectangle controller. The d-pad on the dogbone controller is larger, more comfortable, and feels similar to the SNES controller's d-pad. With this controller, I no longer get thumb cramps while playing NES. The dogbone feels smaller than the rectangle controller, but it shouldn't be a problem if you have smaller hands. Highly recommended!

I ordered two of these matching controllers when I ordered my top-loading NES system. I wanted my entire system to be the way it would have been if I had purchased a this system brand new. There controllers have a better feel than the original controllers. I wonder how I managed without them. Thanks Lukie.

With the 4 controllers I own that were the "regular" type, I always had trouble with the Dpad and my hand would always hurt after using it. The dogbone doesn't have this issue and the ergonomics were definitely better. I highly recommend these.

I ordered this to complete my nes top loasder system. The controller worked, but was akward and not as quick with it' response as a regular nes controller. I prefer the original controllers. But hey, to each his own!

What can I say? It's a nintendo product so you know it's high quality. as for comparing it to the regular controller than comes with the toaster NES', it is a step up in ergonomics and certainly makes trying to beat hard games like ninja gaiden bearable. Highly recommend you grab one if you can. you'll notice the difference right away.

After playing with rectangular NES controllers for some 20+ years, I have now been using the dogbone controller I bought here for about a week now. It took a little getting used to as the A and B buttons are angled rather than straight in a line like the old controllers. However, I much prefer this controller to the rectangular ones. The buttons feel more responsive and because they are slightly more raised, it actually allows you to rapidly press the buttons faster. This is great for games requiring button mashing. The D-pad also feels a lot better compared to the old controllers.

The NES dogbone controller is the best NES controller ever made. It's very comfortable, small, light-weight, and the d-pad is amazing! I had to buy two so no one would fight over who got the dogbone controller for two-player games! Worth every penny!
