Broken d pad

This replacement controller is awesome.After 35 years with my original controller,it finally kicked the bucket.Glad to know there’s still equipment out there to keep my child hood games working.

Works great, super long cord.

Ordered two of these. Arrived quickly and they work very well (D pad is responsive and accurate). Only problem is that the plug on one controller fits a bit loose.

I don't know how this piece of junk gets so many good reviews. The D pad is a total mess, moving to the left when you press up. Really stiff too. The A and B buttons work good though.

The controller is a bit hard on the thumbs. I don't remember the original NES controllers being that stiff. What's more the thing is kind of wonky. It'll get stuck in this mode where I push up on the direction pad and it registers it as moving to the left. It's not just when I'm moving from left to up, but when my thumb isn't even pressing anything and then I push up it registers as left. Really, I wish I spend a little bit more for a better made controller.

I REBUILT AN OLD NES NINTENDO MY KIDS USED (AND NOW MY GRAND CHILDREN)BUT NEEDED NEW CONTROLLERS. THESE SEEM TO BE AS GOOD AS THE ORIGINAL CONTROLLERS. THE EXTRA LONG CORD IS A HUGE BENEFIT, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU NEED TO SIT BACK FURTHER WITH TODAY'S LARGE SCREEN TVs!

This is the 3rd controller I have bought. The first two are original nintendo controllers. I really like the extra long cable. Can play while laying on the couch. It's great. Played contra as soon as it arrived and died once (while killing the vile red falcon). That was my fault though. Looked away to watch tv while fighting the boss. The D-pad is very responsive, you don't need to move your thumb as far to shoot diagonally. In my opinion, it's better than the original.

The D pad poor buttons are good

The action/reaction time seems to be a hair slower than the original NES controllers. But they are acceptable as far as new replacements. The rubber action pads inside the controllers is the part that breaks down over time and amount of use. So far the ones I purchased from Lukie Games are the best I’ve found. I do plan on purchasing more in the near future as I’m sure after much use these will eventually wear out also, as is quite natural for this type of controller. Lastly, I really like the extra long cords.

Overall it's good. Feels like our original Nintendo controller. I line the long cord so I don't have to sit on the coffee table. But it will randomly decide I pushed left on the d pad. Makes for a very exciting Dr Mario game when my piece jumps two spaces left just before settling.. only once in 50 times though so I still use it and just scream maniacally when it glitches.

Have been worried for some time that my controller for my original NES Nintendo would soon wear out. Got these replacements and they are perfect.

Got this with my lukie rewards as a second remote for the retro 2 we bought on this site. It works great and I love how long the cord is!! Unlike the one that came with the system, it can reach our bed with cord to spare... which is awesome. :)
