RetroN 3 Onyx Black System - Latest Model

I own a Legit NES. But, I picked this up, to use in my Van... yep! The RCA connected up with my Honda Odyssey, and we were off! I use original wired Nintendo Controls, the wireless that come with are lacking at best, don’t have the right “clickie” sounds and feel... whatever, I use the real things. Plays every cartridge I’ve put in it! A couple I wiggle finagled Into working, but yes... ALL PLAYED. SNES and Genesis carts worked too, though I only have a few of those. I grew up with the NES, my little Brother had the SNES, that’s his jam. So anyhow, I really like this model Retron, it is NOT THE HD model, so buyer... Pay Attention. Other than that, ???? She’s a keeper! Happy Gaming.

This system showed up quickly and on time I was impressed with its ability to play these classic systems. It works great and I couldn't be happier I can play all my old favorite games again. The cartridges fit kind of tight and you have to be careful pulling them in and out. Being gentle and going slow you should not have a problem. The controllers could be a lot better but still work. About 2 weeks in one of the controller stopped working. I suggest purchasing some classic controllers from Lukie Games for a great price. Thanks again for allowing me to play great retro games with my friends and family. Would have given five stars all day if controllers were better quality

The console does as promised. It plays the Nes, snes, and Genesis games. However the controller although shaped like a Genesis pad is a little loose the dpad works when it wants to. I recommend purchasing a real controller with it

So far I am not happy. I cant play any games as the controller's the system comes with wont work I cant sync them. the game do start. I ordered some original controls as looking up on line it seams this is a great system but the controller's the come the system are just no good. I did get to see the intro's to the games I have and cant wait for my controller's. will review again once I get my controller's

The system works great and I swear that although shipping was free, the package arrived within a week! First time buying from Lukie Games, but definitely not the last. Thanks!

As others have said, this system works well with the genesis and SNES games I have. The wireless controllers that come with the system are worthless. I installed brand new batteries into the controllers, turned the system on and I was having trouble playing because the controller inputs lagged behind the game. This made it difficult to play Mario World when the timing of the jumps matters. I tried to use the controllers right next to the system with hopes that maybe the range from the couch was an issue. This appeared to make it worse with some inputs not even recognized, even with the controllers pointed directly at the system. I ended up just using a wired controller, which works great. 5 stars for the system, no stars for the wireless controllers.

More than happy with my system. Everything works including all the games I bought with it. Highly recommended.

I am really enjoying this system. The controllers are kinda lacking. If they are not perfectly lined up with the system they will stop working. I recommend just buying the plug in controllers.

I got this for my boyfriend for our anniversary since he is an avid retro gammer, He loves everything about the system the only downside is the wireless controllers. They are horrid and he did have to buy sega ones which we easily found at our local FYE. Nonetheless this is a great system and only didn't get 5 stars due to the craptastic controllers.

System works great but the wireless controllers are garbage. I was most excited about playing from a distance but I'm restricted yet again with the original console controllers.

Awesome system! Lukie games has brought me back to my childhood! I've been getting my ass kicked in Super Mario and donkey Kong the past week and I love it!

Its not perfect but you can play NES, Super Nintendo, and Genesis games in it. You'd have to pay 5 times as much to buy all those original systems. The controllers aren't very good but you can plug in original or third party controllers and use those instead (they sell them here, cheap). It is a clone system which means the colors aren't quite perfect, the sound can be off a bit, and there are some games that won't work at all. But if you are looking for an inexpensive way to play Genesis NES and Super NES games there is no better choice.

I finally broke down and bought one of these after some research - it was a good decision. Being able to put an NES game in and hit a button to play is a weird experience. A Anyway I still have my NES, SNES, and Sega (the sega still works perfectly, but with the cd attachment it's huge) and you honestly don't need them anymore with this little guy. I use the original controllers, so I have no comment on those, but one power and AV cord each is such a nice change. Really happy with it.

This system is a great clone for playing original games, and preserving original systems! I have not yet tested SNES, Gensis, or wireless controller functionality, but NES playability is flawless! Game cartridges and original controllers fit snugly and game play is comparable to original NES system. A great product for a reasonable price.
