Battle Toads
I heard a lot of great things about this game so decided to check it out. Just like one of the other reviews said, the game will freeze on the 2nd level if you use a retron system. I guess I will have to get my nes out of storage to play this one.

Champion of Dificulty
It's debated which game is the toughest of all time, this or Silver Surfer are the two debated usually for two toughest games of all time, I give the toughest game title to Battletoads because, don't get angry, it requires more reflexes, memory, and the variety of types of gameplay between levels, from sidescrollers, to beat 'em ups, to racing, and many more types while Silver Surfer is only a ****y railing game, not that I have anything against railing games, Star Fox is epic, but Silver Surfer is just a pile of dog **** with too many enemies, walls everywhere, too big of a hurt box to dodge anything, and 1 hit from anything kills you, whether it be enemy or wall, and when you die, you go back to the beginning, also 1 last criticism against Silver Surfer before I talk a bit more about Battletoads, Silver Surfer doesn't allow you to hold A to constantly fire, you have to RAPIDLY press A and get a swore thumb or buy a Turbo Controller. Battletoads is an incredibly fun game that gives anyone who beats it bragging rights! Battletoads is mostly a simple fun game for about the first 2 and a half levels, half way through Turbo Tunnel, the game starts to get hard, videos and playthroughs won't help unless you're trying to remember the pattern, however you'll be the one who needs the reflexes. I have never gotten past Turbo Tunnel, however I did make it to the very last obstacle once, and died. Also DO NOT go buy this as your first NES game or go against it until you've faced the likes of Karate Kid (**** controls), Ninja Gaiden (So many pits and spam from Jaquio), Castlevania (Hard trying to survive for a long time in later levels, like all the way from stage 13-15 to use holy water against Death), Ghosts 'n' Goblins (So many enemies, not enough health), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Damn the Dam), and more. Also for those laughing at me for saying this and other games are hard how about 1) If you don't have these games buy them and I dare you to beat them or 2) If you beat these games and think I just suck, I'm a prodigy, only 12 years old, nearly 13, and I've beaten the likes of Ninja Gaiden, Castlevania, and got up to the 6th boss in Contra WITHOUT THE KONAMI CODE (For those of you who don't know the Konami code it gives you thirty lives (Instead of 3) and the code is at the start menu; up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, Start) let's see YOU do that as a pre-teen, either way for those nonpompous gamers, get this once you've got a ton of experience with hard games, I know I'm not gonna play this hard as hell game for a while, either way, good luck on ever beating this video game, especially with a friend because you can acidently hit each other, either way, I made this review WAY longer than it needs to be, so good luck for those you dare challenge it, **** you pompous gamers you are all *******s when they beat Battletoads after years and criticize other people when they die on Turbo Tunnel, and good bye as I go play some hard games so I can eventually beat this mother ****er.

Top shelf quality!
Holy cow, is this game hard! But still most games can't hold a candle to it's fun factor! You may be frustrated, but it's the good kind that only giant toads that beat up pigs and rats can give!

this game is brutal and a flaw 2 player game
while is it a classic beat 'em up, it is hard as hell. by yourself its challenging, but with a friend its impossible because of two reasons. 1. you hurt each other, and this game requires coordination too. a warning though, this game will break up friendships, 2. in 2 player action, if one of you loose all of your lives its game over for both of you, and you have to start from the beginning of the level which sucks so hard. great game to have in your nes collection but beware when you play it.

All in all, this is a good game but the 2 player needs to be improved (so you cant hurt each other) but besides that it is a good game.

Battletoads Review
Battletoads is an impossible-to-beat type game from Tradewest. When I say impossible to beat, I am of course joking, but I've yet to ever meet anyone claiming to have finished this game. It's great with a friend, but this truly makes the game impossible due to the fact that when one player gets a game over, both players have to restart the level... oh ya, and the other player doesn't get restocked on his/her lives... ugh... Battletoads despite this manages to be one of the most entertaining, sophisticated games on the system. Hands down it has the most diverse gameplay on the NES. 4, and not 5 starred for intense difficulty.

One of the absolute, must-own carts for NES
This game is required playing for someone building their NES game collection. The graphics are above-average, the gameplay is fast, addictive, and above all extremely challenging. It's one of those games that's even more fun with a buddy. Highly recommended, and well worth the price. It's a sought after game for a reason!
