Uh...this is like...a review...or something. Uhhuhhuhhhhuhhuhhuhh.
Having been a fan of the cartoon of the same name for many years, even including the new episodes, I was delighted when I learned of the existence of the video games. Somehow, they made it work. Be warned though, this version in particular is incredibly hard.
So the boys were watching TV, which is what they do when they aren't trying either to score with chicks or to score some nachos, which they would take home to eat in front of the TV. During the show a commercial came on advertising that Gwar, the duo's favorite band, would be doing a show in their hometown of highland. Knowing that they didn't have money, they figured in their usual dim way that they could get in by taking pictures of themselves doing cool things. So it's your goal to guide the boys through five action-packed areas where even a shower can prove harmful, to take a picture at the end of each and hopefully get into the concert.
The gameplay is interesting. One controller controls both boys, which can make doing things sort of difficult. If you have a second controller and someone to play with however, One of you can control Beavis while the other controls Butt Head. The duo have a variety of weapons, most of wich are down right strange, from a sort of baseball glove on a stick to some spitballs or baseballs.
Sound effect wise it's nothing special. There are a very few small voice clips of the duo, mainly their trademark laughs and a few small lines such as "we're there, dude." or "This sucks." or, when navigating a menu, Beavis saying "Change it."
The music is pretty cool, from the classic intro to the show, which they in fact did reasonably well, and what I believe to be Gwar tunes during most of the gameplay.
All in all this is a good, if incredibly hard, game. The only down side is the complete absence of Beavis' classic alter ego, the Great Cornholio. I've heard he can be summoned in other versions of the game, though to wat purpose I'm not sure.
