Description

After getting his wings clipped in Castlevania and Simon's Quest, the death defying Count has risen again. Desiring revenge even more than blood, he'll descend upon your Game Boy, with fangs glistening by the light of the slivery full moon. To survive his maze of torture chambers and vampire crypts, you must unlock the castle's secrets by locating hearts, crystals and crosses. You must also possess the strength to master the Mystic Whip, which wards off unearthly evils like the She Worm. So risk your neck and accept Drac's challenge. Because if you fail to destroy him now, he will rule the night forever.

Castlevania Adventure
Castlevania's first outing for the handheld systems. Not easy, not perfect, but a must-have for collectors and fans of the series. The moment is slow and typical of older Castlevania games: stiff jumping, difficult platforming. But that's not to say the game is broken, if you figure out how the game wants you to play it, i.e. adapt to the mechanics, you will very likely enjoy this title. In closing, Lukie is awesome! Buy early, buy often!

I can't say I really agree with the other reviews for this game, slow walking terrible jump mechanics and the levels are very repetative. It isn't a terrible game it's just not very good.

Grossly underrated addition to the Castlevania games!
I wore my cartridge out back in the day. This is one of the more underrated games in the Castlevania catalog. It is more streamlined than the NES versions, but is every bit as difficult. The levels are long and complex and the gameplay is "classic Castlevania" - equal parts frustration and gratification. For the uninitiated - you will have to restart this game a lot, for the die-hard castlevania fanatics - it's worth giving another chance.
