Contra 4

Contra 3 but better!

Contra for the DS is an action packed game with lots of shoot 'em up! It has all the elements of the original Contra along with the weapon upgrades and non stop action. If you are a fan of Contra this game is a must have. Be warned though, this version of Contra is pretty hard!

I recently picked this game up from Lukie and have loved it, despite the previously pointed out difficulty. I played it on normal first and decided.. I'm gonna go ahead and play on easy. Which paid off. I got through "easy" which gives you 10 lives, 5 continues and whatever weapon you pick up maxed out. While I didn't get to see the ending because I played it on easy, I did manage to unlock "Challenge Mode". The challenges actually help you get better at the game because some of them require you to get through start to finish unarmed. I have only completed 4 challenges and I unlocked the original NES version of Contra. This game has not let me down and I intend to keep it.

Not much to say about this one really. The graphics are excellent being on the ds. The music is pretty good. The gameplay is good too with some additions being on a two-screened handheld. If you can get pass the brutal difficulty of this game, It's a must have. Seriously, It's really hard.
