Don't let the screen shots fool you as this is one of the best games for the Genesis, I remember when I was little playing this game all the time with my friends. Definitely recommended

You know what a beat em up is? Remember Streets of Rage? Ok that's a good beat em up series, so picture that but with robots in a dystopian environment. You travel to the right and mangle other bots with punches, kicks, and insane weapons you equip with arm attachments. They range from flamethrower, laser, saw, rocket fist, and a flail thing. You choose what you want to start with, but you can always rip one off your opponent (literally) and plug that sucker right on you. The controls are a little wonky, but don't let that stop you from enjoying a fun game.
