A true hidden gem
Enslaved: Odyssey to the West is an action adventure game with thrilling action, fun platforming, gorgeous visuals, top-notch voice acting and a compelling story! The only gripe I have is that it lags in areas with lots of enemies, but other than that, it's a stroke of brilliance!

Enslaved: Odyssey to the West
I always thought this was a rather overlooked little title on last gen, and it still kinda is as I've noticed it gained more of a cult-following. Enslaved is a game developed by Ninja Theory inspired by the classic Chinese tale "Journey to the West". Forced by a young girl names Trip, you have to escort her across this post apocalyptic world ravaged by robots. The visuals are very colorful, and nice to look at, and the story/characters also are fine. It does have its issues of course, sometimes the platforming is very linear and strange to say the least. And the combat could use a bit more polish. But among the plenty trite, and samey games that came out last gen, Enslaved at least offers something a little different I think is worth a playthrough.
