A Solid Game For Mustang Fans
When I saw videos of Ford Mustang: The Legend Lives on YouTube, it looked good for a game that was somewhat panned by professional reviewers. So I took the plunge and ordered myself a copy, and I'm glad I did. For starters, my copy arrived in just 2 days and in nearly perfect condition. There are 40 different Mustang models, ranging from the first generation cars to the 2005 model year, which is when the game was released. Game modes consist of Arcade, Challenge Mode, and Career which take place on 22 circuits set in 7 major American cities. Most of the courses and Mustangs have to be unlocked by racing in Career mode twice, once on Amateur difficulty and once on Professional. Graphically, Ford Mustang: The Legend Lives is good, with well detailed environments and car models. The car handling is definitely not realistic and is the game's only major flaw at first, but once you get used to the arcade-style physics, it becomes fun to throw your Mustang around like a slot car and earn style points for unlocking certain car models. Overall, this game is a solid buy, especially if you're a fan of Mustangs.
