An OK Game If You Like Hummers
Despite the negative reviews online, Hummer Badlands is not as bad as the reviews say. The package says there are 19 Hummer models, but they're just different trim levels of the H1, H2, and H3 which can be upgraded both cosmetically and performance-wise. The graphics are solid, with the Hummer models looking like the real thing, while the scenery is a bit dull, but still OK to look at. There are 5 race modes, the best being Extreme Off Road where you have to traverse various obstacles within a time limit. The other modes are just variants of circuit racing on 5 different tracks which can be completed in just a few hours. The biggest letdown of Hummer Badlands is the physics. The Hummers handle nothing like the real thing, with rubbery controls which often lead to wild powerslides. Overall, it's not a bad game for the price, just be mindful of the handling and limited replay value.
