Glitchy fun
Werewolves, Vampires, Zombies and Demons.. It's all here. Based on a world created for folks who enjoy rolling dice and playing trading card games "Hunter the Reckoning" is a chaotic game that allows up to four players to run through various settings to send the supernatural back to the little hole they climbed out of and face those accountable for their release. You get machine guns, shotguns, flame throwers, chainsaws and special weapons and powers unique to each character. You level up as you play and there is a kill meter instead of it being labeled as expereince. The game is bloody and the enemies come at you in a way that it's always good to be up high or on the move because they surround you in swarms (quickly) and it's easy to get cornered and caught off guard. The enemies manifest out of nowhere so it's also good to keep your weapons fully loaded and ready to shoot at all times. The game has it's hard parts whether you're alone or playing with multiple people but unlike playing alone being in a group creates an invisible circle that cuts out four corners of the screen which is easy to get cornered in when an onslaught of monsters are coming at the players. When playing with multiple people you must stick together and move in a group or your lives dwindle and thats bad because everyone shares the lives earned throughout the game. It's another game that isn't too spectacular visually but it's a blast when you get four people playing. The controls leave much to be desired at times but it becomes part of the gameplay and you get over it after a while. This really is a fun and underrated game. Recommended.
