Kabuki Warriors

This is a really interesting game. The fighting/blocking mechanics are really great, and there is a substory of a "clan" (or team) of Kabuki warriors you travel Japan with to fight other clans/teams. When you win, you can trade a warrior with the losing team, which is a nice switch. Playing the game on easy might be TOO easy at first, but it ramps up quite a bit as you play and get more money. I haven't finished my first "tour" yet, but I've developed quite a roster of warriors so far. The best part of the game that isn't part of the gameplay are the Kabuki warrior entrance movies. I don't know much about the whole concept of Kabuki theater, but fighting with weapons (one warrior has a paper umbrella) sure does make it accessible to Westerners. If you like weapon combat with an interesting setting, this game is for you.
