Landstalker

One of my favorite games on the Genesis. Personally I grew up with Sega so at the time I hadn't played any Zelda games. It has some familiarities but I think it stands on it's own as a true 16-bit RPG classic. Some parts of the games might leave you scratching your head and there are some jumping parts that can be tricky but with all of that, it is one of the most rewarding games I have ever beat.

Landstalker is similar to The Legend of Zelda in that you have view that is almost top down, your character has a sword to attack enemies with a horizontal slash, and it takes place in a mystical world with many Zelda-like features. It is different because it is more similar to an RPG. The cartridge, however, arrived in terrible condition. The cartridge was written all over with a golden pen by the video store who originally owned. This usually does not happen with Lukie Games, but it does occasionally.
