Fantastic game. Fun to play. Solutions for the game are different depending on which characters you choose. There's a point & click menu to use to pick up items in the mansion. There's a battery save feature, so it's good to save your game often, before something unexpected happens. Good game for a single player, (but friends might like to help). Better quality game than a lot of other NES games. Owned the game years ago, bought one recently for a gift, and found another one for myself to play again--love this game!!

This is one of the greatest games (mind you this is my personal opinion) of all time!!! The Prequel to Day of the Tentacle (PC) classic. If you like point and click games then this is one you must have in your collection.

Maniac Mansion is pretty unique for the NES. It's a point and click game with a crazy and original story. Each of the characters (except Dave) has unique abilities, and there are several to choose from. There are also multiple endings, so it has great replay value. The graphics aren't great, but the game is so fun you'll barely notice.
