Okami

This game is so satisfying, from the visuals to the storyline to the mini-games. It's a classic game in the open-world exploration genre. There are so many interesting sidequests and the characters are fascinating, with plenty of dialogue and interaction to enjoy. The game is incredibly immersive and depending on how complete you want your game to be, you can rack up plenty of hours of gameplay. I recommend it to everyone.

Sure I have lots of headline games like Skyrim and Dragon's Age but when I sit down at the console this is the one I accidentally choose then play for six hours straight before realizing it. It takes me serious self control to put this game down and I forget how many times I've replayed it. It is unique and takes a bit of time to get accustomed to those abstract graphics. The number one thing to remember is that yes these people are named after things on their heads and your finest work is an explosion attack of flowers. But it can not get any more charming then scrapping with monsters as a bad-attitude she-wolf. The ending always touches my heart and leaves it aching. No other video game achieves such true friendship between characters but all of them try. The game also imbues a profound appreciation of life that sticks much longer than bandit gold- for me it is a positive psychological experience counter to bigbrand games which rely on challenging and traumatizing their audience to gain an emotional appeal. Okami is timeless.

Okami is a great game. It has a great storyline and it has elements that may feel familiar. If you have played Legend of Zelda, you will feel right at home with Okami. So get Okami, it is a great game with a beautiful artwork and a great story based on Japanese mythology.
