Qwirky and Mind-bending
I passed this game by for awhile based on the trailers for it that I saw, which looked too confusing. Eventually, when I found out the actors that did some of the voice acting for it, (JK Simmons and Stephen Merchant) I decided to give it a whirl. I'm very glad I did. I was always a fan of thinking games like Lolo and Lemmings and enjoy a game without combat where you really have to think your way through. This game has excellent puzzles that are very creative in design. It is easy to get into the mechanics of "portaling" and the other methods you must master to complete the "tests." You feel satisfied when you think your way through some of them. The story is funny with a slightly dark sense of humor. Basically the AI in a test factory goes mad and you tried to kill it, it survives, and now it puts you through "tests" (the levels you play) as a way to torture you. The voice acting and obvious improv that goes on is top-notch. Definitely an ingenious and very creative game. If you like puzzle games, you should check this out.
