Rayman 2 The Great Escape

Ordered an incomplete package, but the disc was shipped in a jewel case and it worked the first time when I started my dreamcast. Rayman looks pretty good on the DC when paired with a VGA cable.

This storied platformer is the 2nd main title of the Rayman series. While it may be a product of its time, it has still aged quite well. The soundtrack is good; it doesn't get tiresome. The level design seems well-organized and innovative for its time. As for the various versions, from what I've read, the Dreamcast version is the definitive one in terms of graphical fidelity since the PS2 version (Rayman Revolution) does have some color wash-out, although it has extra content. I will admit that I only have experience with the DC and PS2 versions so far (and it's been a while since I played the PS2 version). The game arrived in its case and in great condition so all in all, I'm a pretty satisfied customer.

The game is beautiful and had great music, but some of the stages are frustratingly difficult and not fun at all. For the most part, though, its worth pushing through the bad to see more of the good stuff.

This game is great. The graphic are beautiful and the gameplay is amazing.
