One of the most underrated Sega games out there. Really fun, great graphics and color, fun enemies and bosses. I definitely recommend it if you like Sonic or Dynamite Headdy.

Great Game
I did some research on some good games for the genesis and this came up multiple times as a top game. Saw some good ratings on Lukie games and i'm very glad I picked this up. Good price, shipped fast and a sick game to add to your collection.

Let's see...
It was great to buy it, and to do businnes with this great site. It was, although, my failure, to see that this is an american game, not an european one. I hope I can get some converter to play this great game :-)

Easily one of the best platformers on Genesis
Fun, fast-paced, and with great animation, this is a top-notch game. Though some may disagree, I think it might be the best platformer on the Genesis.

Better than the sequel
This game is great! I bought it primarly because I was already in love with Sparkster (the sequel) and I was very pleased to notice that it is even superior to it. Bosses are easier than in the sequel but you have to manage much trickier levels, notably because the rocketpack must be charged everytime you use it. Also you really have to use your tail to get through levels wich isn't really that important in the second tome. It is a side scrolling platformer, but there are shooter features wich make it very dynamic. I highly recommend this gem.

This Geneise gem is perfect fun, but it's missing something...
The main reason why I give this a 3/5 is because theres simply no continues and I'm the kind of gamer that hates that when it comes to Gensise games. The game it's self is great and KICK ASS fun, graphics are colorful and pleasing to the eye. But it just bums me out that this game doesn't have unlimited continues or even a password system.

I love this game and if you buy it, so will you. It has the option of setting it on different difficulties, so everyone from children to seasoned gamers will love it. It reminds me of sonic with a sword, an energy drink and a 100 pigs chasing after him. This game is just flawless. BUY BUY BUY

Classic, Charming and Kid-friendly
Rocket Knight Adventures is a classic side-scrolling platformer in every way. There are tricky jumps to be made, highly strategic boss battles to be fought, and more than a few tricks and traps to memorize. This is the definition of old-school, but with enough vision to carve out a niche, and avoid seeming generic. You play as Sparkster, on a quest to save, you guessed it, a princess. The catch is that Sparkster is an opossum, so he can hang from ledges with his prehensile tale, and he is a rocket knight. This means he has a jet pack that he can charge up to launch himself at enemies or over obstacles, and this is your primary method of attack. This adventure is not for the easily frustrate however. Expect a great deal of challenge here, which is typical of the genre and time period. The music is the embodiment of the word "Genesis". No one could hear it and mistake it for anything else. There is a good variety here, with bombastic rock tracks and chirpy tunes that evoke a romp through the magical forest. The graphics are excellent for the hardware, with large sprites and expressive characters, not to mention some often humorous animations. The story is paper thin, and clearly self-aware. It's almost like a parody that takes itself seriously, if that makes any sense. Rocket Knight Adventures is classic side-scrolling action. It's visceral, it's memorable, it's challenging, and most of all, it's just good. Buy it for you kids, buy it for yourself, buy it as a gift, but buy this game.
