Great Arcade Football in the 16-bit era
It's a given that if you had an NES, you played Tecmo Bowl (and Tecmo Super Bowl) to death. Coming late to the party, I didn't play the original, but I heard many times how great Tecmo Bowl was. When I finally bought a Genesis, I needed a football game that wasn't Madden, so I decided to see if they made Tecmo for the Genesis. Thankfully they did!
This is arcade style football to the max. I remember playing 4th and Inches on the C64, and this takes the arcade football to the next level. The only nitpicking niggle I have with Tecmo's game is the resolution swapping causing my OSSC to blank out for a short time, making the kickoffs and extra points seem rushed... If you have a standard TV, this is moot. Either way, Tecmo Super Bowl is the bees knees for arcade football. Recommended for any Tecmo or arcade football fan.
