Best home port of MKII, imo!
I've always felt that the 32X port of Mortal Kombat II was the best. The Genesis had very fast / smooth gameplay, BUT also very washed-out colors, half the speech and sound FX were missing, and the graphics were under-detailed. The Super NES version had better color and sound, but the soundtrack was weak, and the gameplay was more sluggish. The Sega Saturn version had MANY glitches, and the load times were ridiculous. Which finally brings me to the 32X version. Don't be fooled just because it runs off the Genesis hardware. Although it maintains the Genesis version's soundtrack and game play - the look and sound of the 32X version is near arcade-perfect. All the speech FX that were missing from the Genesis version are added back ("Round 1, 2, 3...", "Scorpion Wins!", "Fatality!", etc.), the color is MUCH brighter and defined, and other elements that were also missing from the Genesis version, are ALSO in the 32X version - such as the Shadow Priest floating in the background of the "Tower" level, the flying dragons on the "Kombat Tomb" level, etc. Check out some game play footage on YouTube to see what I mean.
Anyway, for those (VERY FEW) that own a Sega 32X, and you want a definitive port of MKII, this is for you!
