NES Advantage Joystick

This was a product that you can't find in Japan, so I bought it here. Since it was a used item, I thought it would be a little dirty, but it arrived in very good condition.

Usually everything I order from this site is in great condition, but not this time. It looks like it’s been sitting in a filthy house for decades and someone ran a wet paper towel over it, threw it in a box and sent it to me. Just cleaning the cord was disgusting, let alone the inside of it. The buttons worked sometimes, but not every press, and the joystick would get stuck. After disassembling it, cleaning with ipa and reassembling it the buttons now work fine but the joystick still has issues. Will think twice before ordering from here again.

i've been wanting one of these for a long time for games like galaga, super c, 1942 galaxian. it works like brand new and plays good with all games, i have tested out most of my 83 games and it works great! if you play lots of shooter games buy one it will save your thumbs, i would highly recommend. and it was in great shape, great shipping. thanks lukie games!

I love this joy stick! I remember growing up and my family not being able to afford a controller of this magnitude...but now I have one and am loving it. This is an original NES advantage controller that was made during the Nintendo's lifespan. It can change the mood of the NES from a home console to your own personal arcade and works very well with arcade-style games. If you've ever played a classic arcade machine, you will find the solid feel of the ball-end joystick and oversized buttons familiar. This is a somewhat vintage accessory so don't expect it to be like a modern controller. Instead it feels like you're playing on a a well-loved arcade machine and that adds to the fun of playing on a classic console. You also have an adjustable turbo feature, which will pretend that you are mashing the button at insane speeds when you hold it done, and a slow option that will slow down the frame rate, making it easier to pass a certain part in the game. This was something the local video game guru had that made all the other kids envious.

If you are looking for a turbo controller look no further as the NES Advantage. Some older games did not have the good graces to allow you to hold the button and thus a turbo feature can save your fingers from 2000 button presses. The game that instantly comes to mind is silver surfer which requires you to press the button every time you want to shoot. Which wouldn't be the end of the world if you wernt shooting the whole game. In closing save yourself the trouble and get a turbo controller, your fingers will thank you.
