*WHAM!* *KER-SPLORTCH!* Splatterhouse. What is there really to say about this game that its name doesn't? It's a side-scrolling beat 'em up that turns the dial up to 11 and then rips the knob off. You, the player, take the role of Rick Taylor. You and your girlfriend Jennifer are both parapsychology students and are currently doing some research on the (in)famous Doctor West, who disappeared many years ago. Thinking that the best place to start would be his house, West Mansion, you head out there only to be caught in a torrential downpour. Seeking refuge indoor, you are both immediately accosted. Jennifer is kidnapped and you lay, dying, on the floor. You wake up in short order with a horrific mask attached to your face and all you can think of is saving Jennifer. You punch, kick, slice, and bash your way through West Mansion, witnessing the horrors that the Good Doctor brought into this world and understanding why the locals have long called this house of horrors "Splatterhouse". The music, sound effects, visuals, all of it serve to set up a creepy atmosphere that follows you from the front door to the exit. All in all, SPLATTERHOUSE is a MUST HAVE for TG16 owners in general and horror genre fans in particular. As always, I have to give a shout out to the wonderful boys and girls at Lukiegames for getting this game to me in record time and in FANTASTIC condition!

a fun monster killing game. horror game fans will love it, I do. a must have for turbografx 16 fans

Splatterhouse is a pretty good game and imo is a must own for any tg 16 owners
