Description

This sequel to Star Wars Battlefront improves upon its predecessor with a variety of gameplay enhancements, such as upgraded AI, more than 16 new battlegrounds, and greater story emphasis. In addition to the rebel, clone, and droid warriors from the original game, you can play as a Jedi, complete with lightsaber attacks and force powers. In addition to the three tours of duty, Instant Action provides player with quick battles on over 12 maps, including Mustafar, Hoth, Dagobah, and the space battle above Coruscant. Star Wars Battlefront II for PSP is designed to embrace the "on-the-go" nature of handheld gaming with three separate campaigns, each telling the story from a different viewpoint, be it Rebel, Imperial or mercenary for hire.

Missed the mark
The game is good story wise and has a pretty good amount of content but the gameplay is underwhelming and than some. The shooting is awkward but the flying in ships feels fine. Heros are difficult to contro at times and it removes any sort of immersion

Great!
One of the greatest Star Wars game out there. Its a third/first person shooter with it main game mode based around capturing and controlling special command post. The other modes include dogfighting and bombing capital ships in space, a team death match between the most iconic Star Wars heros and villains, two capture the flag modes, and Hunt, which requires players to wipe out or play as and defend the planet's native species like Wampas, Gungans, and Ewoks. The game also includes Galatic Conquest, a mode which mixes RTS elements into the Battlefront formula as two factions fight to control all the planets. Though the story campaign from the PS2/Xbox/PC version is absent, it includes objective based missions as a rouge clone mercenary, a rebel spy, and an Imperial assassin, which is very fun. Overall a great game, though missing some features of the other versions, I highly recommend it for any Star Wars fan.
