XBOX 360 Chrome Blue Controller

Let me start off by saying this controller was packaged so nice and beautifully and once removed from all the plastic it looked amazing so there was no doubt in my mind that it would work. Few seconds later I went for the new batteries put them in then pressed the middle power button and nothing . Unfortunate I really wanted that controller for my cousins birthday party which was a month ago or more already
